Printing - Diagnosing common problems

 

Printing on a workstation and getting a message can not find a printer

  • Try again - sometimes the problem goes away immediately
  • Select the other printer from the drop-down box
  • Shut down the application, re-open it, & try again
  • If nothing else works, restart the computer - this should always work
  • Have the student try at a different workstation, since rebooting takes a while 

 

 

Not getting past "Calculating" on Print Assistant menu (either workstation or laptop)

  • Go to student printer, and:
    • Make sure it isn't printing anything
    • Shut printer off (on/off switch on right side) & back on again
  • Printer should be ready & functional again in a few minutes
